Following Intentions

We're really enjoying our "staycation" - Sydney is a good place to do that. There is so much water surrounding our suburbs, it is easy to find a pleasant lunch venue and we've been doing just that. Yesterday the cool weather turned to heatwave, so we went to the beach, had beers overlooking the ocean, then went to the movies at the Randwick Ritz on the way home. I love the Ritz because it was my local movie theatre when I was a child, and Saturday matinees were my favourite thing to do. It has retained its lovely Art Deco appearance, but is now four small theatres instead of one huge one with a dress circle.
I'm just pleased it has survived and flourished, and I'm not telling how many years ago I was a regular!

I remember seeing Mary Poppins there- the first film I can clearly remember seeing in a cinema. Yikes- cannot think how long ago that was........
