Some good reading...

I always enjoy visiting my favourite bookshop at Newtown, Better Read than Dead, before each school holiday, to buy a "holiday reading" book. I was pleased to find the sequel to Salvation Creek by Susan Duncan - The House at Salvation Creek. A former magazine editor, she writes beautifully about her fascinating, sometimes sad, often joyful life. Her descriptions of her beautiful water-access only community paint vivid pictures in my mind.

My holidays have finished before I have finished the book, but I've recharged my batteries and done enough planning to make the term a downhill run to Christmas. I'm going to implement the "1 - 2 - 3 - Magic" program - I'll let you know how that goes!

This new book would be the perfect gift for someone's 50th birthday!

Sounds like a great book, and I've added it to my ever growing list! Nice that you are all recharged and ready to return to work. And prepared too! Excellent.

I believe that is a not-so-suttle hint over there from Annie!
