Asking around for you

A dear friend died last week, and he chose this song to be played at his funeral. Barry and Veronica are a couple who make you believe in couple-dom, and I've loved them both since we met as part of a close-knit group who decided to start a Montessori pre-school. We've never lost touch, and as the rest of us became single, one by one, he became the only male at our yum-chas and dinners. He never minded that, and his wry sense of humour and intelligence was always a joy.
I'm going to miss him, a lot.
