Lunch+Friends

The best things in life are free - and for the cost of the makings of a spring-time lunch, catching up with special friends for a loooooooong lunch is pretty good value. I love getting all the serving bowls and glassware out, shopping and preparing, then relaxing and enjoying good food, good wine and good company. We bonded as we started a Montessori pre-school 25 years ago - making lamingtons to sell to cover wages for the teacher, painting shelves and desks as our kids played and one drank some paint (he survived), selling raffle tickets to buy equipment, lobbying local politicians to get planning approval and always, always supporting each other with baby-sitting, a cup of tea and the belief that our kids were worth it.
