I have never seen anyone as surprised as my sister Pat was at her Surprise Party on Saturday night. We gathered at the beautiful "Souk in the City" Moroccan restaurant on Bourke Street and waited for her thoughtful daughter, who had organised the whole thing, to bring her in for a "quiet dinner for the two of us"....and there we were, waiting around a Moorish screen, reclining on silk cushions and nibbling on beetroot and eggplant dips. It was a lovely night, beautiful food with aromatic spices and good company.
