It's freeeeeeeezing...

...really! I know our friends in the Northern hemisphere would not think -6 is cold, but here in Sydney we are cold. Today was the thickest frost I've seen in 10 years, with the bin lid frozen shut, the car windscreen in need of scraping, and my feet leaving impressions as I walked in the park. The dogs didn't seem to mind but raced about as usual; I ran in a beanie, mittens, woolen scarf and two jackets. On Saturday, Eliza and I are going ice-skating at the temporary outdoor "Winter Wonderland" rink in the city. Only problem is, I can't ice-skate. Eliza says she will teach me in no time, but her student will have one eye on the mulled wine and hot chips instead. Maybe a cushion tied to my bottom??

Eek! We didn't have it this bad on the Coast! Coldest for us too though!

I'm with you - mulled wine & chips beats a bruised bottom any day!

Wow it does look cold! Stinking hot here in NY.

I went ice skating at Rockefeller back in February. Managed to have a HUGE stack that got me a standing ovation from a table at the restaurant that has windows on the ice. Hopefully for you it's not a family trait...

I will not let mum fall over, I have taught kids and adults how to skate...I don't think they had their minds on mulled wine and hot chips though...that does sound good!

Good on ya Paull! haha

Heh, here I am sitting in a heat wave in Belgium, looking at your freezing photos. I still can't get my head around the fact that it's winter down under. I wish I could send you some of this hot...

Thanks for visiting my blog. Sorry it took me so long to get to yours--this project is really killing me for the moment. But this too will pass... And meanwhile I have a new "Serendipity sister"! There are now four of us that I know about...
