Breathing out. One very successful staff Xmas party- done. 66 page Yearbook prepared, edited, typeset and printed- done. Two weeks today till summer vacation. This is the first weekend this term where I haven't had something hanging over me to organise and it feels goooooood. Sitting outside this morning, early, with the paper and a cup of organic chai in the beautiful cup that Patti gave me for my birthday, I was privileged to be an observor at what seemed to be a street party. Very noisy for 7am on a Saturday!
Tonight I'm off to the Cranston Cup Theatresports Grand Final at Newtown with Anne, courtesy of two tickets given to me as a Christmas Present by one of my students. What a thoughtful present - beats toiletries and chocolates! So if you're getting frazzled finding just the right present for someone, it IS worth it, people really do appreciate a thoughtful gift.
