Right Brain/Left Brain

It's not all maths and literacy at school - yesterday we explored a poem called "My Sister the Crow" to illustrate metaphor, then chose an unrelated noun and verb to create a metaphorical poem of our own. I was very proud of my drawing and poem, but the students poems were much better. Tears expressed as 'God's diamonds' in one poem - to get them you have to 'summon up your grief'. Wow. Before I rubbed mine off I just had to take a picture! Gotta love a job that lets you draw on the whiteboard.....

What fun! I've said it before, and I'm going to say it again. You are the educator that all parents long for their children to have! You are a blessing to all of those young minds!
