Sick as a dog...

Well, actually my 13 year old dog is showing much more enthusiasm and vitality than I am at present. I take my hat off to people who cope with chronic disease - my red raw tonsils will heal eventually. I can't wait to feel like myself again, and run and do yoga and go to work and do housework. I'm trying to rest up but can't help worrying about my class, and all the things I have deadlines for at school that will now be closing in. Which is probably why my immune system is low in the first place. In the last 30 years I've not had two consecutive days off 'sick', and here I am heading for a third. Time for a reality check:

* I'm lucky to be usually so healthy;
* I'm lucky to have a job that pays sick leave;
* I'm going to stop working through lunch times;
* After those sweet little kindergarten hands slip in to mine on the walk to the classroom, I'm going to discreetly use the hand-sanitiser.

Hey there...look after yourself. hope you're well again soon.

I still follow your blog...just unfortunately spend more time reading Educational blogs these days...something which made me take a break today and check out my your blog. Hope Paull is doing well. I've been back to the USA again this year for a visit...miss it still...but prefer Australia. ;)

Anyway...take care and take another day...the kids will still be there when you return.

Cheers!
Jan :)

So sorry to hear you're not well...rest while you can and before you know it you'll back in the groove. The body usually knows when it time for some "down time".

Oh Cate! Sending you tons of healing thoughts. And I hate those raw, red throats. Do you guys have those drinks Capri Sun there? I keep some in the freezer all the time. Then when my through is yucky I eat one - like an ice lolly. I love doing this at bed time because by the time I've eaten it all my throat is numb from the cold and I can fall asleep. Rest and you'll be back soon and this will be just a memory.
