One of my favourite places, the Art gallery of NSW in Sydney, has an innovative program whereby they open late every Wednesday. I went along last week to enjoy the exhibitions, celebrity talk, cafe, jazz and bar. There was a real buzz about the place, and a different crowd to the weekend/weekday as people arrived after work. I saw the Sidney Nolan exhibition, which was amazing - from a distance, his works actually glow.

I love visiting art galleries too...when I lived in Vancouver I often did the Thursday night 'art walk'. All the galleries were open the same evenings with many openings happening. I also worked in an art gallery for a few years and organized the exhibition openings...it's a lot more fun to be an observer than a worker at one of these!
How much fun that sounds like! One of the pluses about living near a city!
He does have such boldness in his art. Sounds like a great night!
