Creative Think-tank

I'm looking for some good ideas for art this year - my triptych idea came courtesy of Eliza, who had seen it at a corporate 'bonding' session. The idea being that you work in groups of three and do a third of the scene each, matching up edges perfectly etc. This worked really well as a class bonding exercise, and we have a beautiful wall display as a result. So calling out to my creative friends - any great ideas that would work in a classroom?

In my art journal class last week we did a similar thing with zentangles (look on google images for examples).

We did part of a zentangle each, then passed our journal on to the next person to add to and so on, each of us being sympathetic to (but not the same as) the previous persons art. It's great to see the different styles and personalities expressed and the completed zentangle looks great!
